It’s official, Yale University is the best university in the world!That’s according to the latest rankings from the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, which were released on Tuesday.

Yale topped the list of the world’s best universities for the first time in the ranking’s history, dethroning the University of Oxford, which had held the top spot for the past seven years.

The California Institute of Technology and Stanford University rounded out the top three.

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings are based on 13 performance indicators, including teaching, research, international outlook, and citations.

Yale scored particularly well in the categories of teaching and research, while also impressing in the category of international outlook, which measures a university’s ability to attract students and staff from around the globe.

“Yale’s rise to the top of the THE World University Rankings is the result of a determined and ambitious strategy that has seen substantial investment in both teaching and research,” said Phil Baty, the editor of the rankings.

“It is also a ringing endorsement of Yale’s commitment to excellence in all aspects of university life, from the quality of its students and staff, to the strength of its financial position and its global reach.”

Yale University President Peter Salovey said he was “delighted and humbled” by the news.

“It is also a recognition of Yale’s continued commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and scholarship.”

The University of Oxford, meanwhile, said it was “disappointed” to be knocked off the top spot, but vowed to continue its ” mission to lead the world in education.”

“We are a truly global university, with acommitment to excellence in teaching, research, and public engagement that knows no borders,” said Louise Richardson, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oxford.

“Our students and staff come from every corner of the globe, and our research has an impact on every continent.”

The University of Cambridge, which is ranked fourth in the world, said it was “proud” of its position in the rankings.

“The University of Cambridge is proud to be ranked fourth in the world and first in Europe in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2019,” said Stephen Toope, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cambridge.

“This is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our staff and students, who make Cambridge a truly world-class university.”

The University of California, Berkeley, which is ranked fifth in the world, said it was “honored” to be included in the top five.

“As one of the world’s leading public research universities, UC Berkeley is honored to be included among the top five universities in the world,” said Carol Christ, the Chancellor of the University of California, Berkeley.

“This ranking is a testament to the excellence of our faculty, students, and staff, and our commitment to being a world-class public research university.”
